Japan: Audio launch of Karthi's film to be held on THIS date in Chennai

It looks like the audio launch of Karthi's upcoming film Japan is all set to happen on October 28 at Nehru Stadium, Chennai. The event is expected to be held in a grand manner. Music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar. The buzz is that Suriya may attend the launch, however, there is no confirmation on the same.

Japan based on a real-life personality
Meanwhile, there is a strong buzz that the film is based on the life of Tiruvarur Murugan, who planned a number of robberies in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, . Murugan was a HIV patient, who was nursed back to health after the police caught hold of him. He later helped them solve many crimes. However, he passed away due to ill health.

The film marks the maiden collaboration between the filmmaker and Karthi. Japan's star cast includes Anu Emmanuel, Sunil, Vijay Milton and others. While the cinematography is by Ravi Varman, editing is by Philomin Raj. Japan is produced by SR Prabhu's Dream Warrior Productions. The film is all set to hit screens for Diwali.

Kaithi 2 in the pipeline
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has now confirmed a sequel to Kaithi and Karthi is all set to reprise the character of Dilli in the film. During the promotional interviews for Leo, Lokesh had stated that Kaithi was like a homeground. He added that the film has been delayed due to Lokesh's previous ventures.
