Janhvi Kapoor now has an industry companion in the form of her sister Khushi, who made her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar's The Archies. The actor exudes an infectious friendliness that completely dispels any idea of sibling rivalry, and she has fully embraced the position as her sister's biggest cheerleader.

Family dynamics and encouragement

During an interaction with Elle India, Janhvi stated that they are really happy for each other's attempts, and the enthusiasm for Khushi is obvious. Every night at dinner, the family has introspective, dreamy conversations about movies, their current projects, and their hopes for the future. They create a common, secure environment by supporting and protecting each other in this atmosphere. Being there for one another as confidants and friends brings them comfort. This is an exciting moment, so they are making every effort to be together. Janhvi also said that there's a general feeling that things will only get faster, so they are trying to soak up these moments before everything heats up.

When asked if she ever feels the weight of responsibility to continue Sridevi's work, having followed in her mother's footsteps, the Roohi actor shared that dealing with the weight of a legacy's perpetuation is an intricate and pervasive issue in her life. There are aspects of it that are really simple. First of all, she is not starting from scratch; there is already a standard that she needs to meet. Her parents have set an exceptionally high legacy, and the standards are rigorous.

Constantly being compared to the greatest motivates Janhvi to work harder, but it also means she cannot make mistakes without facing consequences, particularly in terms of public perception.

Learning and growth

The actor is still learning the importance of keeping moving forward despite the ups and downs of her career. Honesty in decision-making and motives is vital, even though she doesn't consider herself a veteran. It feels like coming home as she begins filming Devara, her first Telugu feature. For the most part of the last five years, Janhvi has focused on getting to know herself, developing her acting chops, and discovering her voice. Being too hard on herself and purposefully seeking out problems that weren't necessary were obstacles, which she has come to recognise. Currently, she is letting herself savour the ride and be grateful for the good parts of her job.

Janhvi's next film is Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, where she stars opposite Rajkummar Rao.
