Janhit Mein Jaari is counting down the days until its release. The social comedy will see Nushrratt Bharuccha take on the role of a spunky young woman seeking to break taboos. The actress recently opened up about how the film chose to break taboos in an entertaining way, and the ‘baggage’ she had to carry.

In conversation with The Free Press Journal, Bharuccha talked about how the film was not intended to be ‘preachy’, as certain things just had to be said in a certain way. She said that the makers wanted to bring awareness to a social issue, but in an entertaining way and her character was written in a way to achieve that.

Speaking about the experience of working with newcomer Anud Singh Dhaka, the actress said that he was someone who was well aware of his shortcomings and had ‘spirit’. She revealed that she didn't know Dhaka would be paired opposite to her until ‘the last day’.

Bharuccha revealed that she would put her best foot forward for any project she does, even if it was not a feature length film. After the success of her previous films, the actress said that she felt a certain sense of ‘baggage’ as well when it comes to Janit Mein Jaari. “I definitely feel the baggage to carry the film on my shoulders but I am enjoying it too,” she said.

Janhit Mein Jaari will hit the big screen on June 10, 2022.

Meanwhile, Bharuccha has wrapped up filming on her upcoming projects, Selfiee and Ram Setu, both of which also star Akshay Kumar. She revealed that she had also finished filming another project, which would be announced soon by the makers. The actress said that she would start shooting for the sequel to Chhorii by the end of the year.
