Malayalam actor Vinayakan has been receiving praise for his performance as the villain in Rajinikanth's blockbuster hit Jailer. The actor will next be seen in actor Asif Ali's Kasargold, which is helmed by B Tech director Mridul Nair.

Mridul revealed in a recent interview that Vinayakan had told him that he had turned down offers for films such as KGF 2, RRR, and Ponniyin Selvan 2. "When I asked him why he turned down such big projects, Vinayakan said that he was satisfied with the projects that he had in hand," Mridul told Media One Live. The director also said that Vinayakan lives in a unique way, and that he won't budge from that even if it is the end of the world.

Speaking about his experience with Vinayakan in Kasargold, lead actor Asif described Vinayakan as someone who doesn't show off while working. He added that people often misunderstand Vinayakan's straightforwardness and genuine reactions, which have placed him at the centre of controversies in the past.

Asif also praised Vinayakan's professionalism during the shooting of Kasargold and said that he gave equal importance to Kasargold and Jailer. "Despite being called to the Jailer set during Kasargold's shooting, Vinayakan chose to stay with our film and informed the Jailer team that he would join them after completing his seven-day shoot for Kasargold. Vinayakan's dedication to his work is a wonderful quality," Asif said.
