Maaveeran is a bilingual (Maaveerudu in Telugu) and is directed by National Award-winning director Madonne Ashwin. Aditi Shankar, who made her debut in Karthi's Viruman, will play the leading lady in the film. The digital rights of the film have been bagged by Amazon Prime Video for a whopping sum and the satellite rights have been bagged by Sun TV.
Jailer, on the other hand, has an ensemble cast comprising Rajinikanth, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Tamanaah, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan to name a few. The team shared a glimpse of the actors yesterday and their looks are going viral on social media. Jailer is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is bankrolled by Sun Pictures.
As for Sivakarthikeyan, apart from Maaveeran, he is also awaiting the release of his science fiction comedy, Ayalaan, directed by Ravikumar. The film stars Rakul Preet Singh, Isha Koppikar, Sharad Kelkar, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran and Bala Saravanan to name a few. The film is slated to hit screens for Deepavali, but the exact release date is yet to be announced.
