Jailer Unlocked out on OTT: Where to watch making of Rajinikanth’s action drama

Rajinikanth-starrer 2023 Tamil film Jailer recently clocked one year since its release. The film, which is now available for streaming on SunNXT and OTTplay Premium, is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The makers recently released a three-part series which traces the journey and making of Jailer. Titled Jailer Unlocked, it is available on SunNXT app for streaming.

Jailer, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, released a year back in theatres to roaring response. Director Nelson Dilipkumar marked his first collaboration with Rajinikanth through Jailer. To celebrate one year anniversary of the film, the makers released a three-part series titled Jailer Unlocked, which shares the origin and making of the action drama. It is available on SunNXT and additionally on OTTplay Premium.

In the series, which spans for about half hour each, will feature segments of various technicians and actors’ part of the project, talking about their experience working in the film. Jailer Unlocked shows how creative decisions were made for the film, and unknown facts about Jailer which showed Rajinikanth in a different action avatar.

Jailer is an action drama backed by Sun Pictures production banner. The film revolves around a retired jailer who has to go against a deadly gangster who has kidnapped his son. The film features a star cast, including Ramya Krishnan, Vinayak, Vasanth Ravi, Mirnaa Menon, Yogi Babu and others, with Mohanlal, Shivrajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sunil, and others making cameo appearances.

Jailer is available for streaming on SunNXT as well. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music. There have been reports suggesting that a sequel for Jailer is on the cards, and it is tentatively titled Hukum. It refers to the title of the highly popular song number from Jailer. However, no official announcement has been made about the film so far.
