Rajinikanth's blockbuster film Jailer continues to mint money at the box office even after it completed almost three weeks of theatrical run. The makers were said to have postponed their plans to release the film on OTT. The team announced a few days ago that the Nelson directorial earned more than 525 crores at the worldwide box office.

It surpassed Vikram's collection in Tamil Nadu and is only behind Ponniyin Selvan 1 in the state. Fans are eager to know if the movie can outsmart the epic hit film made by Mani Ratnam last year.

Jailer's high-definition print leaked

The film's HD print has been leaked today, leaving many fans disappointed. Though this is supposed to have a little effect on the movie's theatrical business, there are those who believe that people who prefer to watch it on the big screen will go to theatres.

We'll have to wait for a few more days to know the impact of the leaked print on the collection. The project was expected to cross the 600 crore mark, but it now looks unlikely, opine a few. Jailer is already the biggest Tamil hit of 2023, and has shattered several records.

Rajini set to begin Thalaivar 170

The Superstar will join his next outing, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170, soon. The project to be bankrolled by Lyca Productions has TJ Gnanavel at the helm. A formal launch of the movie was held a few days ago in Chennai. The names of a few actors are doing the rounds with regard to playing pivotal roles in it.

Rajinikanth will next be seen in Lal Salaam, directed by his daughter Aishwarya. The project, too, has been produced by Lyca Productions. The veteran actor plays an extended cameo in the film that has Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth essaying key roles.
