The audio launch of Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer was held amid much fandom last evening in Chennai. Fans had thronged the Nehru Stadium from different parts of the city and the event turned out to be a gala affair. The icing on the cake was Thalaivar's speech in which he opened his hearts about the tag 'Superstar', waiting for a good script after Annaththe and more.

Kannada superstar Shiva Raj kumar, who plays a crucial role in the Nelson Dilipkumar- directorial, had the audience rapture. Fondly referring to Rajinikanth as his uncle, Shiva Rajkumar recalled the days he visited Sabarimala with the Jailer star. "Today I recall my childhood days. As a young boy, I would visit Sabarimala with my father (Kannada matinee icon Rajkumar) and I would hold the hands of Rajinikanth sir while going there. I still hold on to those special memories. Rajinikanth is like my chithappa."

Shiva Rajkumar also added that he was a huge fan of Thalapathy Vijay and many other actors in the Tamil industry. Jailer marks Shiva Rajkumar's debut in the Tamil film industry.
After Jailer, the Kannada Superstar will also be seen in a crucial role in Dhanush's Captain Miller. The teaser of the film was released yesterday on the occasion of Dhanush's birthday and the video has set the internet on fire.

Jailer has a star-studded cast which comprises Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Tamanaah, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Redin Kingsley, Vinayakan, Jaffer Sadiq, to name a few. While music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography is handled by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing is by R Nirmal.

Jailer is bankrolled by Sun Pictures, who had earlier produced Rajinikanth's Annaththe as well. Since the film and Nelson Dilipkumar's Beast didn't rake in the moolah at the box office, expectations are high on this film.
