Jailer: Shiva Rajkumar has now done THIS for Rajinikanth's action drama

Kannada Superstar ShivaRajkumar, who is all set to make his debut in Tamil with Jailer, has now started dubbing for his portions. The actor will be seen in a power-packed role in the film and expectations are riding high from Shivanna. Meanwhile, we hear that Malayalam actor Vinayakan, too, has completed his portions for the film.

The film, which has Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead, is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, and is gearing up to hit screens on August 10. Sun Pictures, which is bankrolling the film, made the announcement and dropped a glimpse from the film. The team had wrapped the shoot earlier this month and a picture of the cast and crew cutting a giant cake had done the rounds. Rajinikanth had cut the cake, which had the words inscribed, 'Jailer shoot wrapped'.

The star cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Tamanaah, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Redin Kingsley, Vinayakan, Jaffer Sadiq. The latest we hear is that actress Nirosha might also be part of the film, but however, there has been no confirmation on the same yet. If the news is indeed true, this will be the maiden collaboration of the '80s actress with the Superstar.

Rajinikanth is playing a character named Muthuvel Pandian and his power-packed introduction video has set the internet on fire. This is the first project between Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar, who had earlier made films like Kolamavu Kokila, Doctor and Beast. The shoot was held across various locations including Chennai, Cuddalore, Hyderabad, Mangalore, Bangalore, Kochi and Rajasthan.

Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander (marking his third collaboration with the Superstar after Petta and Darbar), cinematography by Vijay Karthik Kannan and editing by R Nirmal. Jailer is Rajinikanth's 169th film. He was last seen in Siruthai Siva's Annaaththe, which opened to negative reviews and was a dampener at the box office.
