The shows in Tamil Nadu will commence only at 9 am. The action drama helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar will be screened in most of the theatres in Tamil Nadu. The film is likely to gross around 25 crores from across the state.
It is known that the movie can't create a new day-one record at Tamil Nadu box office, thanks to the ban on early morning shows. But Jailer already stands at numero uno position in Bengaluru in terms of the highest number of shows. It is also expected to register the biggest pre-sales in Kerala this year, surpassing Varisu.
The project bankrolled by Sun Pictures will be released in 34 countries. Almost 3000 screens across the world will exhibit Jailer tomorrow. Among overseas markets, it will be released on more than 600 screens in the US, around 200 screens in Malaysia and 150 each in the UK and GCC countries.
According to sources, more than 35,000 tickets have been sold in the US, including premieres, while 20,000 and 10,000 tickets are sold in GCC and the UK respectively. Almost 3 lakh tickets of Jailer have already been sold through Book My Show, surpassing other big releases of the week Bholaa Shankar, Gaddar 2 and OMG 2.
Touted to be the comeback of Rajinikanth, Jailer should gross around 250 crores in its full run to achieve breakeven status. A unanimous positive word of mouth will help the movie attain it effortlessly.
