The shoot for the Nelson Dilipkumar directorial is nearing completion

If the buzz is to be believed, the film will drop in theatres on August 11. The filming for the final schedule of the film is currently happening in Kochi. And it looks like the entire shoot will be wrapped up in a span of 10 days. Soorarai Pottru actress Aparna Balamurali had even shared a picture of her flying on the same flight as Superstar Rajinikanth. The actor received a warm welcome in Kochi.
We hear that a crucial scene which is said to be the one appearing before climax was shot around Athirapally Waterfalls. The portions of Jailer have been canned in various locations across the country, be it Chennai and its outskirts, Cuddalore, Hyderabad, Mangalore, Bangalore, Kochi and Rajasthan.
The film's director Nelson Dilipkumar has pulled a casting coup of sorts by roping in some of the big names in all the southern film industries and the Hindi industry. The names include Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, Sunil and Jackie Shroff. The film marks the debut of the Kannada Superstar and the comeback of Jackie Shroff in Tamil after Vijay's Bigil. Jackie and Rajinikanth had earlier worked in Uttar Dakshin (1987). It would be interesting to see the duo back together. The film also stars Ramya Krishnan, Tamanaah, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Redin Kingsley, Vinayakan, Jaffer Sadiq, Sadhu Kokila to name a few. Rajinikanth will be playing a jailer named Muthuvel Pandian in the film and his character introduction has already won many hearts. While the music for Jailer is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography is by Vijay Karthik Kannan and editing is by R Nirmal. Jailer is bankrolled by Sun Pictures.
