Jailer director Nelson reveals THIS about Balakrishna, leaves Rajinikanth fans with mixed feelings

Rajinikanth's Jailer is going bonkers at the box office and the film is expected to amass a huge amount today and tomorrow across the globe. The movie has registered the much-awaited comeback of the Superstar and director Nelson Dilipkumar. The latter faced several trolls after his previous outing Beast opened to mixed reviews.

He has now opened up for the first time in an interview with Vikatan's YouTube channel. The filmmaker has revealed a few things which have left everyone thrilled.

One of the highlights of the movie is the cameo of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar. The fans of the two stars are celebrating their appearances in the action drama. However, a few wondered why the makers didn't rope in a huge star from Telugu.

Nelson has now clarified that he had plans to bring Balakrishna on board, and had a cop character in his mind for the same. But he couldn't come up with an interesting character arc for the senior actor and decided to abandon the idea.

This revelation has left many stunned. A few Rajini fans feel that the inclusion of Balakrishna in Jailer would have fetched a few more crores for the movie in Telugu states. Some others opine that too many heroes would have spoiled the mood and that the director would have been in a position to extend the overall run time.

Fans of Balakrishna are slightly disappointed with the missed opportunity. However, Nelson said that he might team up with the Tollywood star later, which has instilled hope in them.
