Jailer: After surprising Rajinikanth, Kalanithi Maran now hands over a cheque to Nelson Dilipkumar

Jailer is on its way to completing 25 days in theatres, and the Rajinikanth-starrer is still minting money at the box office. The blockbuster movie helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar is now inching close to 600 crores worldwide. It has already shattered various records in several territories.

Film enthusiasts are eager to know if the movie would surpass Ponniyin Selvan 1's collections in Tamil Nadu. It is currently the second highest-grossing Kollywood project after 2.0. Sun Pictures, which has bankrolled the film, is overwhelmed and is thankful to Rajini and Nelson.

Kalanithi Maran surprises Nelson

The veteran producer gifted a cheque to Rajinikanth the other day, leaving fans of the Superstar excited. Earlier today, he also gifted a posh car to the star. The former visited the latter's house and surprised him with a BMW X7. The video of the same was posted from the social media handle of the production house.

Many were curious to know how Nelson would be credited for the success of Jailer. Maran has now posted a picture of him handing over a cheque to Nelson. Cinephiles feel that the director deserved this for the superhit he has made and also for all the trolls he garnered for his previous outing Beast.

25h day celebrations in the offing

Fans of Rajinikanth are planning huge celebrations in various theatres in Chennai on the movie's 25th day, on September 3. Many are anticipating another surprise from the Twitter handle of Sun Pictures. They hope that the makers can come up with the updated box office collection of Jailer.
