Jagaddhatri: Ankita Mallick opens up about the fall in its position on TRP

After topping the chart for a few weeks, Zee Bangla’s top serial Jagaddhatri saw a massive fall this week. From the top position, it slipped down to the fourth position. Its arch rival Anurager Chhowa reclaimed its top position once again. Meanwhile, Phulki took a sharp rise and secured the second position, and surprisingly, Nim Phuler Modhu secured the third position.

Evidently, it disappointed the fans of Jagaddhatri. The lead actress of the serial Ankita Mallick opened up about this fall. In an interview with Anandabazar Patrika, she said that she stays calm when their serial tops the chart, and similarly, she is patient after the fall. “When we were the topper, it was not like we were elated. If you closely notice you will see that the gap between the top serials is not much. The gap is so minuscule that it can not be a matter of discussion. The main thing is we are getting people's love. Positions do not bother me,” she said.

However, many serials have suddenly stopped in recent times due to weak TRP ratings. Jagaddhatri is not like them though. It is already a year old. People’s interest in the story's twist has not diminished and Ankita is happy with that.

This week, Ranga Bou is in fifth position. Three serials – Sandhyatara, Kar Kache Koi Moner Kotha, and Horogouri Pice Hotel – secure the sixth position. Khenla Bari, Love Biye Aajkal, Tunte, and Bangla Medium are in the seventh, eighth, ninth, and 10th positions this week.
