Jacqueline Fernandez on Sukesh Chandrashekhar case
In the petition, Jacqueline Fernandez claimed that Sukesh Chandrashekhar 'trapped' her along with Aditi Singh in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case. For those who are unaware, the actress has been reportedly accused of enjoying the proceeds from the Rs 200 crore from Aditi Singh (wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Singh).
According to NDTV, in the petition, it was mentioned, "The petitioner is an innocent victim of Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s maliciously targeted attack. There is absolutely no indication that she had any involvement whatsoever in aiding him to launder his purportedly ill-gotten wealth. Hence she cannot be prosecuted… under the prevention of money laundering Act."
About Sukesh Chandrashekhar and the case
Sukesh Chandrashekhar is currently locked up in Delhi's Mandoli jail in connection to this case. Chandrashekhar was rumoured to be in a relationship with Jacqueline. However, the actress has denied any romantic relationship with the alleged conman.
