Jackson Bazaar Youth: Indrans-led movie to revolve around a real-life bandset team

Debutant director Shamal Sulaiman is all set for his project titled Jackson Bazaar Youth. It is interesting to note that the movie will be based on a bandset team, as the name also suggests the name of a popular band team. Led by Mollywood’s beloved actor Indrans, the movie has more exciting elements.

It is quite refreshing for Malayalis to see a bandset team movie, as their love for fast beats are known to the world. In a recent interview with ToI, the director spilled beans about the movie, and talked about how the name refers to a popular bandset team that enthrals a big crowd wherever they go. This has definitely made the audience curious to know what is inside the box.

He also said that the movie will be a festival family drama which is inspired by true events. He further talked about the band team that the movie is named after. The team seems to be quite famous like the Kairali bandset team of Chalakkudy, Kerala. “The story involves their fans, friendships, survival and other elements,” Sulaiman told the daily.

The film features Indrans in a lead role. Though he is the lead, he will not be a band performer, according to the director. The movie will also have actors like Chinnu Chandini, Jaffer Idukki and Lukman Avaran. He also hinted that the cast will be given basic training to handle the instruments like trumpet.

Govind Vasantha is on board for music, which is another exciting element about the movie. He is popular for his soulful compositions in movies like 96, Solo and 100 Days of Love. The script will be penned by Usmath Marath while the cinematography will be by Deepak D Menon.
