Shahid Kapoor, a Bollywood star, surprised his fans by crashing the Jab We Met movie premiere. As he entered the theatre, he was greeted with clapping and cheering. On social media, Shahid's surprise attendance at the screening generated a lot of attention.
PVR Cinemas held a specially curated "Valentine's Day Film Festival" in 25 Indian cities before to Valentine's Day. Re-releases of movies in theatres included Titanic, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Tamasha, Jab We Met, and Ticket to Paradise, among others. "Jab We Met 16 years later," Shahid wrote beside the video while posting it to Instagram.
As the actor appeared and fans realised he was there, there was a raucous applause in the audience. Inside the auditorium, the actor interacted with a number of fans and took photographs with many of them. Many of his fans praised the actor for the sweet gesture. “Imagine you are watching Aditya Kashyap on screen and suddenly Aditya Kashyap comes out of the screen,” read one comment. One fan summed it up: “I would have just passed out”.
Jab We Met is a 2007 romantic comedy in which Kareena Kapoor also features. At the box office, the movie was a hit, and people still talk about and like it. The story, the performances, and the soulful music, continue to be a popular with the audience. The film was directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film also starred Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon, Dara Singh and Pavan Malhotra. Kareena won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress while Shahid was also nominated for Best Actor.
