Jaane Jaan opportunity missed but Saif Ali Khan collaborates with Jaideep Ahlawat for THIS Siddharth Anand movie

It was recently revealed that Saif Ali Khan was supposed to be a part of Jaane Jaan but instead Kareena Kapoor Khan became the leading actress. Jaideep Ahlawat is also a part of the current movie, which Saif was once associated with. Having missed an opportunity on the Sujoy Ghosh directorial, Saif and Jaideep are now collaborating for Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film.

What is the movie?

The project is yet untitled. It is touted to be a race-against-time action-thriller with a heist and rescue operation in the backdrop. The movie will be a direct-to-OTT release and will see Jaideep as the antagonist, courtesy his Paatal Lok performance. Directed by Robbie Grewal, the movie is being bankrolled by Siddharth’s Marflix Pictures. The film will release on Netflix and has, according to a report on Pinkvilla, been sold for Rs. 60 crores.

Saif and Siddharth since Salaam Namaste

Saif and Siddharth had worked together on the coming-of-age film, Salaam Namaste, which starred Preity Zinta as the female lead. Siddharth has delivered some of the biggest hits including Pathaan and WAR since. He had brought Tiger Shroff and his mentor Hrithik Roshan on board for WAR and their fanclubs just could not keep calm seeing the two action heroes face off on screen.

Siddharth Anand’s next and Saif Ali Khan’s next

After Pathaan success, Siddharth Anand is working on Fighter. The movie brings Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s pairing on screen for the first time. The movie also stars Anil Kapoor in a pivotal role and is scheduled to release during the Republic Day 2024 weekend. Post that, he is expected to start work on Tiger vs Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Siddharth is also bankrolling Sujoy Ghosh’s film with SRK and Suhana as well as Rambo Hindi remake starring Tiger Shroff. Saif Ali Khan, on the other hand, has currently announced Go Goa Gone 2 and Devara.
