It’s official! Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi to get engaged this weekend

Varun Tej, who’s currently busy filming for his action thriller with Praveen Sattaru titled Gandeevadhari Arjuna, is gearing up for a new phase on the personal front. As you may have guessed it by now, it’s official that he and actress Lavanya Tripathi will be tying the knot soon. The publicist of the Fidaa actor announced the news earlier this morning, confirming the engagement date.

“Hearty congratulations to Mega Prince @IAmVarunTej & @Itslavanya on getting engaged on 9th June, 2023. Wishing a lifetime of happiness together #VarunTejKonidela #VarunTej #LavanyaTripathi,” the publicist wrote to share the news. As the post reveals, they’ll be officially engaged tomorrow in the presence of family and close friends in what’ll remain a private affair.

Both the stars worked together for the first time in Sreenu Vaitla’s romance drama Mister and have remained in touch ever since. Though rumours were consistently suggesting that they were more than good friends during the making of their second collaboration Antariksham, the stars chose not to respond to the reports and remained in denial mode.

A major giveaway about Varun Tej and Lavanya’s equation was the latter’s presence at the wedding of the star’s sister Niharika Konidela in Jaipur a few months ago. Lavanya and Niharika share a cordial rapport as well. For the uninitiated, Varun Tej is the only son of Chiranjeevi’s younger brother Naga Babu and his wife Padmaja Konidela.

A model-turned-actress, Lavanya forayed into Telugu cinema with Andala Rakshasi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and acted in many notable films like Soggade Chinni Nayana, Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi, Srirastu Subhamastu. She made her web debut with ZEE5’s thriller Puli Meka. Varun Tej-Lavanya Tripathi’s wedding is expected to be held in the second half of 2023.
