It's official! MM Keeravaani roped in to score music for KT Kunjumon’s Gentleman 2

KT Kunjumon, a popular producer in the 90s known for his high-profile projects like Gentleman, Kadhalan (Premikudu) and Kadhal Desam (Prema Desam) is returning to films after a sabbatical. He'll next be producing the sequel to Gentleman, titled Gentleman 2, soon. While the project, to be bankrolled under Gentleman Film International, was announced a couple of years before, not much progress was made meanwhile with regard to its cast and crew. Now, we finally have an update about it. 

The producer, who promised to announce the film's composer, had come up with a contest for netizens to guess the probable names in contention. He had asked them to name the composer while using the hashtag #G2MusicDirector and had said that three lucky winners who guessed it right would be rewarded with a gold coin. He had confirmed the name on Sunday. It's official that MM Keeravani will be scoring the music for Gentleman 2. 

Kunjumon posted,"I proudly announce that the iconic legend of Indian cinema, MM Keeravani garu, will be the music director of my Gentleman Film International's 'Gentleman 2'. Gold coin winners will be announced." The prequel to the film had introduced noted filmmaker S Shankar to the industry and reportedly, he had suggested the the former to rewrite the climax of the movie inspired by the assassination of former Sri Lankan President Ranasinghe Premadasa.

Gentleman, which released 29 years ago, featured Arjun Sarja and Madhoo in the lead roles, while AR Rahman composed the music. No other details surrounding the film have been revealed yet.
