Thalapathy 69 is touted to be Vijay's final film in his acting career before he delves into his full-fledged political career

Actor Vijay, who is currently shooting for GOAT- Greatest of All Time, has announced his political entry, thus increasing curiosity on his acting career. While it is expected that Vijay will act in more film after GOAT, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, the announcement is yet to be made on this regard. While we wait for the official revelation of the same, reports suggest that Thalapathy 69 will be helmed by director H Vinoth, and the actor is expected to be paid a lumpsum as his remuneration.
As per a DT Next report, Thalapathy 69 is touted to be Vijay's final film in his acting career before he delves into full-fledged political career. The actor had floated his party, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam. The report stated that Vijay will be receiving Rs 250 crore as his remuneration for Thalapathy 69, which will be directed by H Vinoth. With this, Vijay will be the highest-paid actors in the country.
If the news is indeed true, then it will mark the first time Vijay and Vinoth will be collaborating for a project. Expected to be a political thriller, banners DVV Entertainment and AGS Entertainment are in contention to back the film. With Vijay currently busy with GOAT, an official announcement on Thalapathy 69 is expected to come closer to the release of GOAT. H Vinoth’s latest films all starred Ajith in the lead roles, namely Thunivu, Valimai and Nerkonda Paaravai.
GOAT is directed by Venkat Prabhu and is currently in production. With the film nearing wrapping up, the makers have yet to announce the release date of the film. GOAT also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Sneha, Prabhudheva, Ajmal Ameer, and Prashanth, among others. The film has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Meanwhile, Vijay, who is one of the highest-paid and most famous actors in India, is expected to quit acting in films after he wraps up with Thalapathy 69. He will be joining the list of Tamil actors who made a transition from acting to politics.
