IS THIS THE REASON why Adhyayan Suman lost out on many films in Bollywood?

Readers may recall that, a few days ago, Priyanka Chopra Jonas had dropped a handful of truth bombs in her interview with Dax Shepard, in his Armchair Expert podcast. Priyanka, in her interview said that ‘she was not a nepo baby and that she did not have that kind of support that existed in a big way in Bollywood movies. She added that, she was being pushed into a corner in the industry and that she had people not casting her, she having had beef with people and that she was not good at playing that game. She reasoned it stating that, she was kind of was tired of the politics and that’s why she I took a break’. While these statements (and more) did shock many, actor Shekhar Suman came in support of Priyanka Chopra by taking to social media and posted, ‘Priyanka Chopra's sensational revelation has not come as a shocker.It is well known the way the cabal within the film industry functions. It will oppress, suppress and persecute you till you are finished. It happened with SSR’. In another tweet, the ‘Movers And Shakers’ host posted, ‘I know of atleast 4ppl in the industry who have ganged up to have me n adhyayan removed from many projects.i know it for sure.These 'gangsters' have a lot of clout and they are more dangerous than a rattle snake.But the truth is they can create hurdles but they cannot stop us’.

Speaking of Adhyayan Suman, after his Bollywood debut with ‘Haal-e-dil’, what followed were films like ‘Jashnn’, ‘Dehraadun Diary’, ‘Luckhnowi Ishq’ and few others. He even tried his hand in singing with songs like ‘Saareyan Nu Chaddeya’ and ‘Soniyo’. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Adhyayan Suman revealed that he did not get a lot of films because of a show that his father did — ‘Movers and Shakers’. He added that, even though he (Shekhar Suman) was given a script for every episode, there were a few people who got offended because of what he said and held grudges against his father. He also stated that, there was neither any personal attacks nor he used any abusive language and that his father was just doing his job and it was just a show, but their egos were very fragile perhaps, and they took it personally and thought we will take this revenge (against Shekhar Suman) through his son.

In the same interview with Hindustan Times, an understandably disturbed Adhyayan Suman said, “I was approached for a project with a massive superstar as the lead and I was supposed to play the antagonist. Everything, including money, was discussed and I was expecting a call to discuss clauses for my contract. But suddenly, they backed off. I asked them what the problem was or what changed because it’s very easy to call anyone and remove me from a project. Anybody could pick up a call and say, ‘Isko mat lo film mein’. I have seen that happening to me. There was a producer, who in front of me called another producer and said, ‘Hum Adhyayan ko cast karne ki soch rahe hain’ and the person replied, ‘Isko mat lo, he is not punctual, he does drugs’ and all that stuff”.

He also added that, there were many things about which he still has not spoken about. He stated that, unless and until an individual is extremely successful like Priyanka Chopra, speaking the truth does not make sense.
