Soundarya Rajinikanth, who had earlier directed Rajinikanth-starrer Kochadaiiyaan and Dhanush-starrer VIP 2, is reportedly set to direct actor Raghava Lawrence’s next project. According to reports, Soundarya Rajinikanth will be making her third directorial with the Tamil actor, which will be bankrolled by Thanu under the banner of V Creations. Although vital details of the film are yet to be disclosed, the latest grapevine suggests that either A R Rahman or GV Prakash Kumar may score the music for the film. An official confirmation from the team is awaited. The rumours also suggests that Rajinikanth might make a cameo appearance in the film.
If the speculations are found to be true, the project will mark the director-actor duo’s maiden collaboration which we are eagerly anticipating to unfold!
As reported earlier, Soundarya Rajinikanth was set to direct another film. The VIP 2 director, in an interview, had said that she was working on a script called Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam but that the project couldn’t take off then due to casting issues. “I was initially working on a script, called Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, and I had also put out a cast call for the film. It’s a very nice script and is written by Dhanush too. But for some reason, I could not find the cast for the film,” the VIP 2 director said. Now, Dhanush is directing the same film, which is also set to release soon.
Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is gearing up to make his ambitious project Thalaivar 171 with Superstar Rajinikanth, is rumoured to have roped in Raghava Lawrence for a key role. Although an official announcement is awaited, it is speculated that the Chandramukhi 2 actor is considered to play the antagonist's role in the movie. Interestingly, he was supposed to essay a pivotal r ole in the director's Vikram, but Vijay Sethupathi came on board to play the character.
