Is Bandish Bandits 3 releasing soon? Rohan Gurbaxani aka piano prodigy Ayaan Ali drops major update

Prime Video's one of the most loved musical dramas Bandish Bandits recently returned for a magical new season in December 2024! Season two of this critically acclaimed musical drama picked up where season one left off. Like the previous season, 2nd season also received positive reviews and left fans anticipating a new season. Lead actors Radhe (Ritwik Bhowmik) and Tamanna (Shreya Chaudhry) are pitted against each other in their quest for fame and acceptance through an innovative fusion of the complex ragas, rhythms, and bandishes of Indian classical music with the powerful, electrifying rhythms of contemporary rock and pop. Days after the release of season 2, Rohan Gurbaxani who played the role of piano prodigy Ayaan Ali, dropped a major update on Bandish Bandits season 3.

In an interview with News 18, when asked if Bandish Bandits will have a third season, Rohan Gurbaxani said, “Let’s see where the audience takes it. I think based on that, we can definitely discuss what will happen next." 

Elaborating his character, he further added that his character has grown from episode one to the end and in the third season, Rohan would like to see him be more independent, going on a journey where he can explore more of himself and his music. In the next season, he might take ownership and go on this new journey of creating his own music.

Rohan Gurbaxani on Bandish Bandits 2 receiving praise

Bandish Bandits 2 received immense praise from viewers and critics alike. Opening about the success of the second season, Rohan said that second season is a lot more rooted and honest. 

"Whether it’s giving respect to the classical music side or the modern music side. There is so much detail that even a non-musician can connect with it. Something that makes a project timeless is not necessarily the concept, it’s the emotion it brings out in the audience," he said.

Meanwhile, OTTplay review of Bandish Bandits season 2 reads, "Bandish Bandits Season 2 is far better than the first season, with writing that takes a good start, but the music goes haywire in Shankar Ehsaan Loy’s absence."
