Irugapatru OTT release date: When, where to watch this hit Tamil romantic drama

If you've been eagerly awaiting the OTT release of Irugapatru, your patience has finally paid off. Netflix announced on Wednesday the digital premiere date for Irugapatru.

Irugapatru will make its streaming debut on Netflix on November 6, exactly four weeks after its theatrical release. 

Filmmaker Yuvaraj Dhayalan has written and directed Irugapatru. It stars Vikram Prabhu, Shraddha Rama Srinath, Vidharth, Shri, Abarnathi and Saniya Iyyapan in the lead roles.

Irugapatru arrived in cinemas with little fanfare. However, it managed to gain momentum at the box office based on positive reviews from critics and strong word-of-mouth from the audience. At a time when it is believed that only larger-than-life, action-packed movies can draw audiences to theatres, Irugapatru defied that notion.

Irugapatru emerged as a success story at the box office, generating profits for all its investors. Earlier, producer SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures expressed his delight, saying "This is wonderful..!! It’s been sometime since I have seen such growth in the box office!! Not loud & not subtle either..!! Everything around the film is so warm and smooth about this film. Thanks to audience for accepting the film as it is." 

Irugapatru managed to hold its ground in Tamil Nadu against the box office storm created by Thalapathy Vijay's latest movie Leo. The success of this movie has once again proved that good films will find their audience against all odds.

Judging from the trailer, Irugapatru follows the lives of three couples and modern-day relationship expectations that challenge them.
