Romantic drama Irugapatru, which stars Vikram Prabhu and Shraddha Srinath in the lead, is all set to drop in theatres worldwide on October 6. The film will lock horns with Trisha's revenge thriller, The Road and Vijay Antony's Raththam.

Irugapatru gets its first review
The makers of the romantic film recently had a special screening in Chennai, which was also attended by Aishwarya Rajesh. The actress was all praise for the film and took to her social media handle to share her views. She wrote, "What a compelling take on relationships! Director @YDhayalan romantic entertainer #IrugaPatru is an  eye-opener on how to nurture relationships!! An immensely fulfilling and rewarding entertainer! Congratulations to @prabhu_sr sir & the entire team for this adorable film (sic)!"

The film has also received positive reviews from all those who were part of the special screening. Yuvraaj Dhayalan made his directorial debut with Potta Potti, and went on to make Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu's popular films, Tenaliraman and Eli. However, he took a break thereafter. Irugapatru is billed as his second innings in the industry and the positive reviews has come as a great relief and fillip to his career.

The interesting premise
The trailer of Irugapatru revolves around the marital relationships between three couples, namely Vikram Prabhu and Shraddha Srinath, Vidaarth and Abarnathi, and Shri and Sania Iyappan. While Shri and Sania face compatibility issues, Vidhaarth and Abarnathi are battling some 'weighty' issues. However, Shraddha Srinath and Vikram Prabhu never fight, which becomes a bone of contention for the couple, Interestingly, Shraddha Srinath plays a marriage counsellor in the film.
