Vikram Prabhu and Shraddha Srinath's upcoming film, Irugapatru is gearing up for release on October 6. Irugapatru is said to be a heartwarming drama, directed by Yuvraaj Dhayalan. Here's all you need to know about the film.
The fun trailer
The trailer depicts the marital relationships of three couples in different age groups. Vikram Prabhu and Shraddha Srinath, Vidaarth and Abarnathi, and Shri and Sania Iyappan. The couples' marriages are poles apart from each other. While Shri and Sania face compatibility issues soon after their wedding, Vidhaarth and Abarnathi are fighting over the latter's increasing weight.
Shraddha Srinath, the leading lady, plays a marriage counsellor and she believes that being a husband and wife is reason enough to fight. However, she and her husband Vikram Prabhu have absolutely no fights between them.

The star cast includes Vikram Prabhu, Shraddha Rama Srinath, Vidharth, Shri, Abarnathi and Saniya Iyyapan.
Technical crew
Justin Prabhakaran has composed the music, while cinematography is by Gokul Benoy and editing is by JV Manikanda Balaji. Irugapatru is bankrolled by SR Prakash Babu, SR Prabu, P Gopinath, Thanga Prabaharan R under the banner of Potential Studios LLP.
An October 2023 Release
The film is all set to release this Friday and will compete with Trisha's The Road and Vijay Antony's Raththam. The film is billed as a clean family drama which will appeal to audiences of all sections. Though the promotions have been a tad lukewarm compared to Raththam and The Road, the film's trailer has managed to impress many, who have been waiting for a feel-good drama. The OTT partner is yet to be announced.
