Iraivan: Jayam Ravi to play a cop again, the trailer of the thriller flick to be unveiled on THIS date

On the occasion of Yuvan Shankar Raja's birthday yesterday, the makers of Iraivan announced that they will come up with an update today. Movie buffs started guessing about the same and social media was abuzz with various speculations. The team had earlier planned to release the film on August 25.

However, they postponed their plans owing to reasons best known to them. The project helmed by Ahmed brings Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara together for the second time after Thani Oruvan. Billed as a thriller, it has been bankrolled by Passion Studios. Rahul Bose, Ashish Vidyarthi, Naren, Charlie and Vinoth Kishan play key roles in the film.  

The trailer of Iraivan to be out soon

The team of Iraivan has now revealed that its trailer will be released on September 3. They have also come up with a 45-second video that has Ravi walking on the premises of a police station even as a few cops follow him and salute his position in the department.

Ravi has essayed a cop's role a few times in the past. His most-hyped project Thani Oruvan which was announced recently also has him essaying a police officer. 

Suspense thriller in the offing

The highlight of the project is said to be its suspense-filled episodes. The makers have been successful in keeping the movie's premise a secret ever since it went on floors. Hari K Vedanth and Manikanda Balaji have cranked the camera and handled editing respectively for Iraivan. Don Ashok has choreographed action scenes while Jackie is in charge of production design.

Iraivan is Ravi's third outing in 2023 after Kalyana Krishnan's Agilan and Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 2. The actor has Siren, JR 30 and Genie in his kitty.
