Films buffs, who have been eagerly awaiting the release of Salaar on September 28, are dejected to the core as it is more or less confirmed that the Prabhas-starrer has been postponed. There are various speculations doing the rounds with regard to the action drama's release date.

The movie helmed by Prashanth Neel was expected to take a huge opening across the world on September 28. Though the makers are yet to come up with an official announcement, trusted sources have already confirmed the news and movies in different languages are rescheduling their plans.

Release galore in Tamil

Tamil filmmakers are trying to capitalize on the situation in the best way possible. As of now, four movies are expected to hit the screens on September 28. SU Arun Kumar's Siddharth-starrer Chithha, Jayam Ravi's Iaivan directed by Ahmed, Harish Kalyan's Parking helmed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan and Adam Bawa's Ameer-starrer Uyir Thamizhukku are ready for release.

The trailer for these movies is expected to be out soon. Some of the Telugu and Malayalam movies, too, are keen on arriving on the same date as Salaar has pushed its release.

Filmmakers keen to release before Leo's arrival

The postponement of Salaar has come as a blessing in disguise for some of the Kollywood makers. The most-expected Tamil movie of the year, Leo, is hitting the screens on October 19. It is difficult to obtain theatres in Tamil Nadu for a few weeks after its release. They were also concerned about the number of movie halls after Salaar conquers at the box office.

The current situation has turned out to be favourable for them. They will now get ample screens even after Chandramukhi 2 and Mark Antony release on September 15.
