Considering the IPL fever and the date of the AP elections, a handful of Telugu films slated to release in April 2024 have been postponed.

Just a few days ago, popular producer Naga Vamsi said in a press interaction that the days when cricket matches affected film releases are gone. But the IPL fever has gone to the next level, as every match in this year's tournament is turning out to be a smash hit.
Seeing this, a few films have already been postponed. Now joining the list are Love Mouli and Sasivadane. The news in the film circles is that both these films have been postponed, and the same has also been announced on April 16. These films are medium-budget films, and the actors working on them have pinned a lot of hopes on these movies.
Love Mouli is Navdeep's latest film, which has been in the making for the last four years. The romantic drama was started just before the first lockdown and was seeing the release light on April 19, 2024. But now, Navdeep and his team have decided to postpone the film to a later date.
Next in line is Sasivadane, produced by Ahiteja Bellamkonda. Rakshit Atluri plays the main lead, and Komalee Prasad is the heroine. Even this film has been in the making for a long time, as the lead pair are quite confident that their village love story will impress everyone. But the makers of Sasivadane felt that the second week of May would be a proper time to release their film.
Yet another reason to postpone these films is the elections in AP. The star of Andhra is going into elections on May 13, 2024, and this time, as Pawan Kalyan has joined forces with the Telugu Desam Party, things have heated up. The mood of the state is upbeat and everyone wants to see who will come into power in Andhra.
Apart from Sasivadane and Love Mouli, Dil Raju has also postponed his new film, Love Me. He is also planning to release the film after the election date in 2024. In the days to come, we will see which other films will be postponed in Tollywood. Watch this space for more updates.
