Pawan Kalyan-Sai Dharam Tej’s Bro is one of the most awaited films in Telugu cinema. Written and directed by Samuthirakani, this film has Trivikram penning the screenplay and dialogues. Young actress, Ketika Sharma plays one of the female leads and she speaks about the film, working with the likes of Pawan Kalyan, Sai Tej, and her substantial role in the film.
The moment I heard the name Pawan Kalyan, I said yes
When asked about grabbing the big offer, Ketika says she couldn't believe her luck when she was approached for a film that had Pawan Kalyan in it. "The moment I heard PK sir, I didn't want to hear anything else and said yes right away. However, I don't have any combination scenes with Pawan Kalyan. But there is one scene, in which I get a chance to be in the same frame alongside PK sir which I will cherish forever" says Ketika.
I have a substantial screen time in BRO
Ketika has been paired opposite Sai Dharam Tej in the film. Speaking about her role, Ketika says "I am playing Tej's girlfriend in the film. My character has got a lot to do with him and the relationship between us is quite interesting. I have a performance-oriented role and BRO is fast-paced and every character on the screen adds to the story."
Bro has more commercial elements than the Tamil original
It is a known fact that BRO is the official remake of the Tamil hit Vinodhaya Sitham. When asked about what's new in the remake, Ketika says "In the Tamil flick, there was a lesser scope for the female character to perform. Whereas in Bro, I've been given good screen space by the makers and I have made full use of it and will make my presence felt."
Vaisshnav Tej and Sai Dharam Tej are both contrasting personalities
Ketika is one of those few heroines who has worked with both Sai Dharam Raj and his actor brother Vaisshnav Tej. When asked about it, Ketika says "It is a coincidence that this project, Bro came to me when Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga with Vaisshnav was actually in the last leg of shooting. Both brothers have contrasting personalities. Vaishnav was a little more shy when I first met him on the sets of Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga. But Sai Dharam Tej is not as shy as Vaishnav. He is very fun-loving and has done quite well in BRO."
The credit for my stylish look in the film goes to Neeta Lulla
Ketika Sharma is in the news as the latest song from BRO, Jaanavule is out now and the young heroine is being praised for her gorgeous looks. When asked about it, Ketika says "Well, I had the privilege to work with famous designer Neeta Lulla, who had actually worked for PK sir's costumes in the film. She has put very nice looks together. Jaanavule song is one of the best experiences of my film career in Tollywood. I didn't have the opportunity to dance earlier. This is the first song, where I got the chance to shake a leg and I loved every bit of it."
Director Samuthirakani is very clear with his vision
BRO is directed by Samutirakani and Ketika says that the director was so clear about his vision. "He knew what he wanted and quickly wraps the shoot. Also, It was a great experience working with one of the production giants in Tollywood, People Media Factory. They pamper every artiste so well and am fortunate to have worked with them." adds Ketika."
The audiences will love the message showcased in BRO
Finally, when asked to sum up the film, Ketika in an excited voice says "Bro is a very strong message-oriented film. This is the first time I am part of an artsy, message-giving film. It is going to add to my work because Bro is a different space compared to my previous films. I am eagerly waiting for the audience's reaction".
