Inspector Avinash’s Urooj Khan: I learnt discipline from Randeep Hooda, as he was always on time for shoots

Ever since the time Randeep Hooda’s ‘Inspector Avinash’ got premiered, it has been making news for all the right reasons. Be it Randeep Hooda’s flawless performance in the titular role, or the ‘grand debut’ of the TV star Shalin Bhanot, these are just a few reasons to be hooked onto the web-series. Amidst the presence of these actors, there is the character of Inspector Mamta Awasti, who has been gaining too much curiosity amongst the viewers. For all those who had been wondering as to who is the person who plays the role of Inspector Mamta Awasti, well… she is none other than Urooj Khan.

Hailing from Hasanpur (Uttar Pradesh), this Indo-Qatar actress had worked as an air hostess for a time span of around eight years, before she took the plunge into the world of entertainment. Looking back, she also had won the prestigious title of ‘Mrs. Asia Pacific Intercontinental’ in the year 2018. This was followed by her debut in the Telugu film ‘Dhaadi’.

Speaking about the web series ‘Inspector Avinash’, Urooj Khan said, "The director of the show Neeraj Pathak selected me for this role. My overall experience with all the co-actors, with DoP Chiruda was extremely delightful. I learned complete discipline from Randeep Hooda as he was always on time for shoots, and was very punctual in all manners. Randeep doesn’t make someone feel like he/she is a newcomer and doesn’t carry his name and fame he has along with him. While working, Randeep is basically a down-to-earth and a truly humble person”.

Besides Randeep Hooda and Urooj Khan, the web series ‘Inspector Avinash’ also stars Amit Sial, Abhimanyu Singh, Rahul Mittra, Ayeesha Aiman, Bidita Bag, Urvashi Rautela and Rajneesh Duggal in important roles.

The much-talked about web-series ‘Inspector Avinash’ started streaming on May 18 this year on Jio Cinema.
