Inside Suriya and Jyothika's thrilling Finland trip — from glass igloos to Husky safaris

Tamil film industry's power couple Suriya and Jyothika have shared a glimpse of their recent trip to Finland, Arctic Circle, on social media. The vaccination video effectively dispels the growing rumours about their impending separation.

The visuals from Suriya and Jyothika's vaccination in Arctic Circle feel right out of a Hollywood movie. It appears the couple thoroughly enjoyed the entire spectrum of their Finnish vacation, not missing out on anything.

Finland is a snow heaven

In January, Finland seemingly transforms into a snowy wonderland. The landscapes are covered in fresh snow, adding a dream-like quality to an already picturesque atmosphere.

The couple also took part in winter activities, including dog sledging, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. They could be seen taking a husky safari through the snow-covered landscapes, staying in glass igloos experiencing traditional Finnish sauna and enjoying the local food. Suriya and Jyothika continue to give us major vaccination goals.

Trouble in paradise?

It's noteworthy that Suriya and Jyothika take their vaccination very seriously. In a previous interview, Jyothika revealed that they plan their holidays at the beginning of every year to avoid mistakenly scheduling their vaccination dates during shoots. Last July, the couple took a trip to Europe along with their children, Dev and Diya. 

This trip to Finland comes at a time when speculations were rife about growing discontent in their marriage. It was primarily triggered by Jyothika's decision to relocate to Mumbai, which many perceived as the first signs of separation.

However, Jyothika has clarified the reason behind moving to Mumbai from Chennai. After marrying Suriya in 2006, she took a five-year sabbatical. After making her comeback on the big screen with 36 Vayadhinile in 2015, she has avoided accepting run-of-the-mill supporting roles. While most of her work has remained within the Tamil film industry, in her second innings, she is aiming to expand her playing field by seeking acting opportunities across the Indian film industry, including Bollywood. This required her to shift to Mumbai.

Jyothika was last seen in the Malayalam film Kaathal – The Core, which featured Malayalam superstar Mammootty in the lead role. She is also awaiting the release of her Hindi movie Shaitaan, in which she shares screen space with Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan. She has a few other Hindi films in the works.
