A few months from now, audiences across the country will get ready to watch one of the first-ever super girl films made in the history of Indian cinema. Yes, we’re talking about Indrani, the ambitious super girl film with a sci-fi twist. The film is written, directed and produced by Stephen under Shray Motion Pictures. Yaanea Bharadwaj, Kabir Duhan Singh, Garima Kaushal, Franitha Jijina play lead roles.
The makers of Indrani had launched the first look of Franaita Jijina from the film earlier this week. In the black-and-white poster, we see her hands tied with a rope and the character trying to retaliate in a critical situation. Commemorating the launch, the team said that Franaita was cast in the film after several rounds of auditions and mention her character is on par with the title role in terms of prominence.
Director, producer Stephen Kumar shared that the super girl film essentially revolves around three characters and he hopes to introduce newer talent to audiences through the supergirl series he plans to make. He also threw light on Franaita’s other talents - the fact that she is also a terrific dancer and choreographer. Stephen mentioned that Yaneea Bharadwaj would take the lead in action sequences, while Franita Jijina and Garima Kaushal would do the needful in the dance numbers.
Cinematographed by Charan Madhavaneni, the film has music by Sai Kartheek. S.B. Uddhav is the editor while Premsun is the action choreographer. Ravikumar Gurram is the art director, with Sudhir Velpula, KK Reddy and Jay G. Sen co-producing the film. Stanley Suman Babu is the executive producer. Shataf Figar, Sapthagiri, Dhanraj and Madhunandan form the supporting cast.
