The makers of Marivillin Gopurangal have finally confirmed the theatrical release date of the Malayalam film. The new-age romantic comedy is set to hit the big screen on February 16, soon after Valentine's Day.
Indrajith Sukumaran, Shruti Ramachandran, Sarjano Khalid, and Vincy Sony Aloshious are playing the lead roles in Marivillin Gopurangal. The film is directed by Arun Bose, who has worked on Tovino Thomas’ Luca and Unni Mukundan’s Mindiyum Paranjum. The screenplay for the movie has been penned by the director himself, along with Pramod Mohan.
The teaser, which was released on November 1, hinted at a romantic comedy that examined the changing dynamics of modern relationships. Rony and Meenakshi (Sarjano Khalid and Vincy Sony Aloshious) are in love and expecting a child, while Shinu and Sherin (Indrajith Sukumaran and Shruti Ramachandran, respectively) are married couples. Their lives take an unexpected turn when the latter stays with Shinu and Sherin, changing their outlook on marriage and love.
Delay in the theatrical release of Marivillin Gopurangal
The movie's posters, teaser, and songs were released more than three months ago, with a November 2023 release date originally planned. The producers, however, left open the possibility of an unanticipated postponement in the event that the theatrical release date was not confirmed.

Sai Kumar, Johny Antony, Salim Kumar, and Bindu Panicker are among the supporting cast of Marivillin Gopurangal. Syamaprakash M S has helmed the camera work for the film, while Arun Bose and Shaijal P V are the editors. K R Praveen is the creative producer of this movie.

The soundtracks for this movie have been composed by Vidyasagar. Vinayak Sasikumar has penned the lyrics for these songs, whose audio rights have been bagged by Muzik 247.
Kokers Media Entertainments has bankrolled this film and will be distributing it in theatres across the state. Resh Raj Film and Play Films have acquired the overseas distribution rights of Marivillin Gopurangal.
