Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is the name of the fifth movie in the popular action-adventure series. The first teaser trailer for the movie came out, and it revealed the title.
The action-packed trailer made its debut at the D23 Expo in September. It has scenes in a desert, underwater, on top of a moving train, and other places. It's also the first time audiences have seen Harrison Ford aged digitally, as well as Phoebe Waller-Bridge as his goddaughter Helena. There are also some well-known characters, like John Rhys-Davies as Sallah, who last appeared in the third movie, The Last Crusade. He's heard saying to Indy that he longs for the desert and the sea. He misses looking forward to the exciting adventures that each new day will bring. He is saddened to hear Indy say that those days have come and gone. But Sallah murmurs inaudibly that perhaps, maybe not.
Even though the trailer doesn't say much about the plot, it's full of references to other movies, and it ends with Indy using his famous bullwhip in a gunfight, which is a reference to the famous sword vs. gun scene from Raiders of Lost Ark. The film, set in 1969 during the space race, will pit everyone's favourite archaeology professor against a well-known adversary: the Nazis.
Harrison Ford plays Indiana Jones in James Mangold's eagerly awaited fifth movie in the long-running Indiana Jones series. Along with Ford, the film also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Shaunette Renee Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Oliver Richters, Ethann Isidore, and Boyd Holbrook.
The movie is made by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel. James Mangold is in charge of putting it together, and Steven Spielberg and George Lucas are executive producers. The score is once again being written by John Williams, who has done so for every Indiana Jones film since the first Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981.
