The semi-finals of Indian Idol 15 on Sony Entertainment Television will be unlike any other, and Karan Johar will be joining the star-studded panel! Prepare yourself for a once-in-a-lifetime musical battle with Badshah, Vishal Dadlani, and the legendary Shreya Ghoshal as judges. Drama, comedy, and unforgettable moments abound onstage thanks to Karan's trademark wit, style, and charisma.
"Idol ki Crazy Girl" (Manasi Ghosh) delivers a phenomenal performance on Desi Girl, which Karan Johar and the judges find breathtaking.
The ace filmmaker remarked that he can't remember the last time he went to a wedding—any wedding—where this song wasn't playing. In recent years, it has become the standard "shaadi" song at Asian and Indian weddings all across the globe. It's amusing how many non-Indians and non-Asians he has witnessed dancing to this song just because they know someone Indian.
Karan went on to say that, of course, Vishal-Shekhar composed it brilliantly, but it has become an integral element of Indian culture. He was unaware of how high the song's notes were until Vishal brought it to his attention, and he still remembers that.
While talking to Manasi, Karan added that her selection of this song was courageous, particularly in light of the fact that she had to reduce its volume and dampen some of its intensity. He praised her by saying that she was born to be a performer on stage because of her enormous personality—which is eccentric, wonderful, and sassy— and because of her beautiful singing voice. She gave a performance that he really loved.
Indian Idol 15 is full of amazing moments and shocking revelations like these. Keep watching for more of the show's fantastic talent, including Karan Johar, Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, Badshah, and epic performances.
