In recent years, it has become the standard "shaadi" song at Asian and Indian weddings all across the globe. It's amusing how many non-Indians and non-Asians he has witnessed dancing to this song just because they know someone Indian. 

Karan went on to say that, of course, Vishal-Shekhar composed it brilliantly, but it has become an integral element of Indian culture. He was unaware of how high the song's notes were until Vishal brought it to his attention, and he still remembers that.

Karan Johar applauds Manasi Ghosh's bold song choice and performance

While talking to Manasi, Karan added that her selection of this song was courageous, particularly in light of the fact that she had to reduce its volume and dampen some of its intensity. He praised her by saying that she was born to be a performer on stage because of her enormous personality—which is eccentric, wonderful, and sassy— and because of her beautiful singing voice. She gave a performance that he really loved.
