Indian Idol 15 Christmas Special: CID's Aditya Srivastava, Shivaji Satam, and Daya Shetty look for 'serial killer' in singing reality show | Watch promo

Indian Idol Season 15 set is all set to welcome CID's iconic trio Aditya Srivastavam Shivaji Satam, and Daya Shetty. They will appear on the show to promote the CID 2 which will begin on December 21 on Sony TV, SonyLIV as well as OTTplay Premium. Ahead of the release, the cast graces the Indian Idol stage with a twist.

CID's iconic trio will grace Indian Idol 15

On December 20, Sony Entertainment Television shared a new promo of Indian Idol Season 15. The clip shows a big Christmas present on the stage and ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam) screaming, 'Daya darwaza todh' (Daya, break the door). After breaking the wrapping paper of the big present, the iconic trio, Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty, emerge on the show. They say that they have come here to catch a serial killer. The speical episode is set to enteratain the audiences during Christmas vacation.

Sharing the promo, the streaming platform captioned it, "Christmas gets a dramatic twist as CID crashes Indian Idol! CID is taking over Indian Idol’s Christmas concert Watch Indian Idol, Sat-Sun at 8:30 PM on Sony LIV."

More about CID 2

CID is one of the most loved and longest-running Indian Television series. Began in 1998, the show ended in 2018 with 1547 episodes. The trio Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty as ACP Pradyuman, and Inspectors Abhijeet and Daya are again set to win people's hearts in the second season of CID. 

CID 2 will be released on December 21 and it will air every Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m. on Sony TV, SonyLIV and you can also watch it with your OTTplay Premium subscription. 

The makers have shared several promos to tease fans and one of them showed Daya and Abhijeet facing off each other on top of a cliff. The clip captured ACP Pradyuman shouting "Daya", when Abhijeet shoots him with a gun and Daya falls off the hill. Fans can't wait to see what went wrong between Daya and Abhijeet who were good friends.

Apart from the iconic trio, another old cast Narendra Gupta will reprise his role as Dr. R. P. Salunkhe.

Meanwhile, in an interview with ETimes, Daya said that CID has been running for 21 years and so it is obvious for people to remember them by their character. "Our priority has always been the show, even when other work came my way, I only took it up if I had time." He also mentioned that people love him in cop roles.
