The makers of Indian 2 dropped a major update about the film today (April 6). One of the most anticipated sequels of the year, Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan in the title role, is scheduled to open nationwide in June. To the delight of the actor's fans, the movie's new poster has officially announced the update regarding theatrical release.
In it, Kamal Haasan comes back as the popular character, Senapathy, determined to end corruption in the nation as it exists in the present times. The earlier-released intro video featured Kamal Haasan reprising his role as Senapathy from the highly successful and critically acclaimed 1996 movie Indian. Seeing their favourite character return on screen has fans ecstatic.
Indian 2 to release on Netflix post theatrical release
Audiences were thrilled and curious to learn more about Indian 2 when it was first revealed that Senapthy of Indian would be returning. The most recent news is that streaming platform Netflix has purchased the digital rights to the Kamal Haasan-starrer. The S Shankar-directed movie has been added to Netflix's movie list, and after its theatrical release, it will be accessible for streaming in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Cast and crew of Indian 2
The ensemble cast includes Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Siddharth, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Gulshan Grover, and Vennela Kishore, in addition to Kamal Haasan and Kajal Agarwal. A Sreekar Prasad handled editing, while R Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman handled cinematography. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the soundtrack and original score for the project. The movie is being funded by Red Giant Pictures and Lyca Productions.
Indian 2 will be released as a solo project, indicating the franchise's end, according to sources. High-end visual effects for the movie were produced at a prestigious Hollywood studio in Los Angeles. It appears that a lot of technology will be used in this project, especially the deaging technique that will show Kamal Haasan as younger.
