Indian 2, the upcoming Tamil film headlined by Kamal Haasan, is gearing up for release. Scheduled to release on July 12 in theatres, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film and create more expectations. With only a few days left for release, the runtime and censor of Indian 2 have been revealed. Keep reading to know further.
Indian 2 runtime and censor
Indian 2 will have a runtime of three hours and has been censored with a U/A certificate. The runtime of the second instalment is more or less the same as the first part, which ran for three hours and five minutes.
Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 film Indian, helmed by Shankar. With the filmmaker returning to the franchise, Kamal Haasan will reprise his role as Senapathy, a former freedom fighter who fights against corruption. The plot of Indian 2 revolves around Senapathy returning to the country to help a young man who has been exposing corrupt politicians through his videos uploaded on the internet.
Apart from Kamal Haasan, the film also features Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Manobala, Vennela Kishore and Deepa Shankar, among others are part of the cast.

If you haven’t watched the first part, it is available for streaming on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium. Indian is cult classic and iconic film in Shankar and Kamal Haasan’s filmography. The makers have also announced that there is a third part as well, Indian 3. However, a release date for the film is yet to be announced.
Indian featured actors Manisha Koirala, Kasthuri, Goundamani, Senthil, and others. While the cast has changed, the makers of Indian 2 have used artificial intelligence to recreate late actors like Nedumudi Venu, Vivekh and Manobala for the upcoming sequel. Indian 2 will be available for streaming on Netflix after its theatrical run.
