Indian 2: Kamal Haasan, Shankar gearing up for shooting THIS for the much-expected movie in Taiwan

The shooting of Shankar's Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2 has been happening at a brisk pace in Andhra Pradesh and Chennai recently. We had reported earlier that the team is heading to South Africa to film a few crucial sequences. However, it looks like they have another plan before that.

We hear that many action episodes will be filmed during the upcoming overseas schedules. They are set to travel to Taiwan to shoot some action-packed portions that involve a massive sequence in a train. According to sources, this is expected to be one of the highlights of the project.

Though there is speculation that the movie will hit the screens for Deepavali, it looks unlikely. Dhanush's Captain Miller and Karthi's Japan are now said to be prime contenders for the festival. Indian 2 is eyeing a huge release for Pongal in January 2024.

Shankar is also busy with Game Changer, another big budget film of his, starring Ram Charan in the lead. Both the movies are expected to hit the screens without much gap between them. The Kamal Haasan-starrer has music by Anirudh while the RRR star's movie has Thaman composing music for it.

Indian 2 marks the comeback of Kajal Aggarwal in Kollywood; the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth and Priya Bhavani Shankar among others in key roles. Kamal Haasan is expected to team up with Mahesh Narayanan next. The Ulaganayagan also has projects coming up with Vetri Maaran and Pa Ranjith.

He is also gearing up to produce SK 21 with Sivakarthikeyan and STR 48 with Silambarasan. Both the untitled movies are likely to go on floors soon.
