Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan has begun dubbing for his upcoming film, Indian 2. In a video shared by the film's production house, the actor is seen along with the film's director Shankar at the dubbing studio.

In the video, the duo are seen engaged in a hearty conversation and discussion while at it. The makers captioned the video, "A glimpse of dubbing session from INDIAN-2 ft. Ulaganayagan @ikamalhaasan & Director @shankarshanmugh Dubbing in Progress (sic)."
The film is likely to hit screens for Independence Day next year
The team is currently busy with the post production and is likely to drop in mid-2024. The latest we hear is that Indian 2 will be released as a solo project, marking the end of the franchise. And since the film's theme revolves around patriotism, and Kamal Haasan will be seen as freedom fighter Senapathy, the iconic character from Indian (1996), Indian 2 is likely to release on the occasion of Independence Day, 2024.
Interestingly, both Pushpa 2 and Singham 3 are also scheduled to release on the same day. Indian 2 is also said to have some heavy-duty VFX work, which was done at a leading Hollywood studio in Los Angeles.
A star-studded film
The star cast comprises Kamal Haasan, Kajal Agarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash and Vennela Kishore. While the music is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography is by R Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman, and editing is by A Sreekar Prasad. Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies are bankrolling the film.
Kamal Haasan to team up with Mani Ratnam and H Vinoth
After Indian 2, the Ulaganayagan will team up with the Thunivu director for his next, which is tentatively being referred to as KH 233. This will be followed by his project with Nayagan director Mani Ratnam.
