The team of Shankar's Indian 2 recently wrapped up a schedule in Taiwan and is currently in Johannesburg, South Africa for their next. Though this schedule is only said to be 12-days long, it is said to have some intense action sequences. The film's lead actor Kamal Haasan, meanwhile, has been dropping one picture after the other from the African nation. While earlier, the actor dropped a video of him playing music on a bowl, he has now shared a picture of him as a co-pilot of a flight. He captioned the picture, "Flying together, altitude 22, 000 ft!"
There are a few more pictures of the actor doing the rounds on the internet. While in one of the pictures, he is seen strutting around the streets of South Africa armed with his camera, in another, he is seen lounging in his room. The actor sure seems to be living it up. The pictures have sent his fans into a state of frenzy and many have even asked "is there anything the Ulaganayagan cannot do?" Fans are also excited that their matinee idol has been sharing pictures on his Instagram regularly.
The vigilante action thriller, helmed by Shankar, has an ensemble cast comprising Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, Guru Somasundaram, Kalidas Jayaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Manobala, George Maryan, Vennela kishore, Deepa Shankar, to name a few. While the music is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography is by Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman, and editing by A Sreekar Prasad.
The film's shoot had come to an abrupt halt after a freak fatal accident on the sets in 2020. The shoot was further delayed due to the pandemic-induced lockdowns and other issues. In the meantime, Kamal Haasan began working on Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram, which turned out to be a massive comeback for the actor. Indian 2 will have Kamal Haasan reprising his iconic character Senapathy and is likely to hit screens for Deepavali this year.
