It looks like the team of Indian 2 is all set to drop a major announcement about the film tomorrow. Lyca Productions, which is bankrolling the film, wrote on its social media handle, "Received copy & processing... Stay connected for an update Tomorrow at 11 AM (sic)! The poster also features a signature by the iconic character Senapathy played by Kamal Haasan. This update has left the fans of the Ulaganayagan excited.

Senapathy is back
Kamal Haasan is all set to reprise the cult character Senapathy after a span of 25 years. A freedom fighter and vigilante, Senapathy came down heavily on corruption in the original film, Indian (1996). Towards the end of the film, Senapathy had stated that he would be back if the country needed him. Fans are eagerly awaiting the comeback. 


In the meantime, the team has also used the deaging technology to depict a younger Kamal Haasan in the film. The film's director Shankar had dropped a picture from a leading VFX studio on Los Angeles, hinting that the film would be a visual treat.

Cast and crew details
The star-studded cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, Guru Somasundaram, Gulshan Grover, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Vennela Kishore to name a few. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by R Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman, and editing is by A Sreekar Prasad. Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies are bankrolling the film. The film is slated to release in 2024.

Kamal Haasan gears up for KH 234
While speaking at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, Kamal Haasan, who was accompanied by director Mani Ratnam threw light on his upcoming film with the Nayakan director. Kamal Haasan said that both Mani Ratnam and he will be producing the project and that he was willing to do any work in the film, and that he was also playing the lead in it. Mani Ratnam, a man of few words, responded saying that he would keep that in mind.
