The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is nothing less than a carnival today as Team India takes on Australia on the back of exceptional support from the crowd. One would reckon that Rohit Sharma and Co. are only one step from glory, especially having put on a spectacular show thus far, but they will have to get past the tenacious team led by Pat Cummins. Australia, despite being a tad scratchy, have extracted themselves out of tricky situations on multiple occasions and would take the field feeling confident about their chances.
But the crowd at the massive stadium, though, can be expected to rally behind the home team all throughout the contest and joining in on this unique celebration are top celebs from across the country. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was earlier spotted heading to the venue in the company of her father Prakash Padukone, the former Badminton world #1 who became the first Indian to win the All England Open Badminton Championship (in 1980). Deepika's husband and fellow actor Ranveer Singh, too, will be seen in attendance which will also boast other sporting icons like former India captain Kapil Dev, Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra and others.
Indian talisman Virat Kohli's wife and actor/producer Anushka Sharma, too, will be seen in attendance cheering on team India. Telugu superstar and avid cricket fan Venkatesh Daggubati will be part of the huge crowd and so will Vivek Oberoi.
Aside from all the noted names who will grace the game from the stands, the ICC World Cup 2023 final also boasts a number of exciting performances, which are spread across the length of the game. Prior to the commencement of the game, the huge crowd will get to witness the Suryakiran IAF Airshow with Aditya Gadhvi set to perform in the first innings drinks break.
Pritam Chakraborty, the very popular Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Amit Mishra, Akasa Singh and Tushar Joshi will perform in the innings break. The second innings' drinks break will feature a Laser and Light show.
