It was exactly on July 4 of the year 2008, when a film titled ‘Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na’ had got released. The film, which starred Imran Khan and Genelia D'Souza, went onto become one of the teenage anthems of that year. This was followed by Imran Khan to do other films like Kidnap, Luck, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and his last released Katti Batti. Sadly, none of these films could match up to the success set by his film ‘Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na’.

Recently, there was a strong buzz about him making a comeback in Bollywood. Even though these rumours have been buzzing for sometime now, there has been no official announcement or confirmation regarding the actor’s much-awaited comeback. Recently, Imran Khan was called as one of the guests at the ‘IFP Festival Season 13’, which was held in Mumbai. No sooner did the actor took centrestage, he was asked about his much-awaited comeback in Bollywood. To which, the actor replied that he doesn’t have a clear answer, but he was reading scripts and was having creative conversations with the filmmakers.

He also added that, hopefully next year. It was this statement, which many took as the actor’s hint at saying that he was making his much-talked about comeback next year. The eagerness of his fans to see him making a comeback can be gauged by a post which was uploaded by a paparazzo on social media. The said post was about Imran Khan stepping out for a walk when he obliged his eager fans with selfies. No sooner was this video uploaded, the netizens started expressing their eagerness to see him making a comeback. Their comments ranged from ‘Only come back I want’, to ‘“Laut aaoo imran, ab mazak nhi ha’. One user even wrote, “Life was good until, Jaane tu ya jaane na @imrankhan waapas aao bade parde par, at least make a sequel of JTYJN”.
