Paparazzi culture is very prevalent in India. There are times when Bollywood celebrities happily oblige them for pictures and sometimes they don't. In the past, a few celebrities have lost their cool at the paps for intruding on their personal space. Speaking of this culture, Illegal 3 actress Neha Sharma told OTTplay there's a positive and negative way to look at it. In her case, the actress feels the paps have always been nice to her. However, she believes some actors have an issue with the paparazzi culture.
In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Neha Sharma said that when paparazzi ask her for a picture and she doesn't wish to oblige, they leave her alone. The actress further mentioned that the paps she meets in the city are sweet to her.
"They are people like us who are trying to do their job. They ask you for a picture and if you don't want to oblige, don't. Sometimes, I feel some actors have an issue with it because they are probably not getting clicked enough. I don't know what it is. There are two ways to look at it. If they were vicious and harmful, then yes, there is a reason for me to be upset. But with me, they have always been nice and kind and I have done the same," she added.
Continuing the conversation, Neil Bhoopalam, who was a part of the chat, said there needs to be some moral check that people need to have. The actor cited the example of Princess Diana, who died while trying to escape the paparazzi. Reacting to Neil's thoughts on the matter, Sharma quipped, "The side that Neil is talking about is hardcore. I am not sure if Indian paparazzi have reached there and I hope they never get there."
Meanwhile, Neha and Neil's web series Illegal 3 is now streaming on JioCinema. While Neha is seen as Niharika Singh Sahir Raza's show, Neil plays the role of businessman Dushyant Rathore in the series.
