Nearly two months after its theatrical release, the IF movie has made its way to OTT. However, like many of the latest Hollywood flicks, the film is available to rent on Prime Video and BMS Stream for Rs. 389. John Krasinski is responsible for writing, producing, and directing the live-action animated fantasy comedy IF. An ensemble cast accompanies the voices of Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr., and Steve Carell, along with Cailey Fleming, Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Fiona Shaw, Alan Kim, and Liza Colón-Zayas. The story follows a girl and her neighbour as they discover that they can see their imaginary friends.

Overview of the movie IF and its cast

In John Krasinski's IF, a little girl finds out she has the power to see everyone's imaginary friends. With this newfound ability, she sets out on a fantastical journey to reunite long-lost IFs with their children. The marvellously diverse characters in IF, voiced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr., Steve Carell, and countless others, reflect the extraordinary power of a child's imagination.

The film has made over $184 million globally, despite critical ambivalence.

Box office performance of IF

According to Deadline, due to its ensemble cast and lack of family-friendly competition, IF had rather optimistic predictions before its release. Surprisingly, the film couldn't keep its audience's attention. IF is already grossing over $100 million domestically, although its weekend box office sales dipped, possibly due to fresh releases or a lack of enthusiasm for going to the theatre. Although it was disappointing for a film that had $110 million invested, May was a poor month for IF and a lot of other films that were supposed to be blockbusters.

IF is an endearing film with a happy ending that serves to emphasise the film's themes. The final scene features a touching farewell for Bea and Cal. They embrace one last time before Bea and her father depart from New York City. Because he needs surgery, Bea's dad spends a lot of time at the hospital. The operation goes well, even if there's a major fright near the end of the movie. In the midst of packing up their New York City flat, Bea and her father stumble upon an old sketch she made when she was little. The drawing depicts her parents, Bea, and her imaginary friend Calvin, portrayed by Ryan Reynolds' IF character Cal.
