The makers of upcoming Malayalam film, Idiyan Chandhu, have confirmed its release date. The action drama, which stars Vishnu Unnikrishnan in the lead role, will hit the big screen on July 19. The trailer of the movie was unveiled by the cast and crew of the project today (July 18). It will be running in theatres along with Anand Madhusoodhanan’s family entertainer, Vishesham.

As the film's official trailer makes clear, Vishnu Unnikrishnan is getting ready to enthral audiences as the energetic protagonist in Idiyan Chandhu. It is evident that the actor is portraying a powerful part that he has never taken on before in his career. The clip opens with an engaging action drama about school life that is based on true events.
The story picks up speed and intensity as soon as Vishnu Unnikrishnan's character, Idiyan Chandhu, punches a local thug in order to make his presence known. He identified himself as a Class 12 student who frequently gets into trouble because of his impatient nature. Lena, who plays his mother, seems to be tired of him and is trying everything to get him to change. The story promises to be an engrossing depiction of Chandhu's hardships and run-ins with a local gunda gang.

Lena, Ramesh Pisharody, Jayashree Sivadas, Lalu Alex, Biju Sopanam, and Sooraj Thelakkad are among the supporting cast. Sreejith Vijayan, who is well-known for his films Kuttanadan Marpappa and Margamkali, has directed this action drama.
The news that Deepak Dev, the film's composer, will be working with talented musician Dabzee on the soundtrack only serves to heighten the anticipation among viewers. The director himself has penned the screenplay for the movie. Shafeek, Subair, Rayees, Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Sreejith Vijayan have bankrolled this film. Peter Hein is the action choreographer, while Vignesh Vasu s.i.c.a helmed the camera work.
