Identity teaser out: Watch how Tovino Thomas and Trisha try to map a mysterious face to solve case

After Forensic, Tovino Thomas is once again joining forces with directors Akhil Paul and Anas Khan for the upcoming Malayalam film Identity. The makers of the film released the teaser on social media on Wednesday, which also stars actor Trisha Krishnan as the female lead.

Tovino and Trisha's Identity teaser out

We had earlier reported that actor Tovino Thomas will be starring in the upcoming film Identity. The teaser of the film was unveiled on Wednesday. Written and directed by directors Akhil Paul and Anas Khan who earlier made Forensic, Identity is slated for a theatrical release in January 2025. 

Yet again a crime thriller, which will also have some action, Tovino will be playing the role of an investigating officer. Apart from Trisha and Tovino, the film will also feature Vinay Rai and Mandira Bedi in prominent roles.

The teaser begins with Tovino's character saying that they can begin the investigation by affirming the shape of a person's face, to which Trisha answers it is pentagonal. The 100-second teaser shows some fast intercuts, with the voiceover continuing to describe the face. We get to know that a crime has taken place and the cops are at the helm of the case. The teaser focusses on the face recollection and recognition. There is a mystery looming over what the case is regarding.

Here is everything to know about Identity

Tovino will be working for the first time with Trisha, in Identity. The film also marks the latter’s comeback to Malayalam cinema since the release of the 2018 film Hey Jude. The technical crew consists of music by Jakes Bejoy and Akhil George cranking the camera. Chaman Chakko is the editor.

Backed by Raju Malliath’s under Ragam Movies, and Century Films, Identity is set to release in January 2025. A release date of the film is yet to be announced by the makers.
